Instructions

Step 1

In order to create animation on a personal computer, you need to purchase and install one of the versions of Adobe Photoshop. One of the popular options today is the CS6 version. You can legally buy it in one of the software stores. Of course, as an alternative, the program can be found and downloaded on the Internet for free, but it should be understood that this method is unethical and illegal.

Step 2

The first step after starting Adobe Photoshop CS6 is to create a new file that will become the basis for the animation. To do this, on the upper navigation panel in the program window, press the "File" menu and select the "New" item. In the window that appears in the "Width" field, you can set the width of the future image, and in the "Height" field - the height. The default unit is pixel. After filling in the fields, you can press the "OK" button. A window of the created file with a picture of the specified size with a white background will appear on the screen.

Step 3

Now you need to open the block with layers by pressing the "Window" menu key and selecting the "Layers" item. Here, thumbnails of the so-called "layers" will be displayed - the frames from which the animation will consist.

Step 4

Then you can move on to creating layers. At this stage, there is only one layer with a white background in the corresponding block. You can add new ones using the "Shift + Ctrl + N" key combination. Since each layer displays one frame of animation, the number of layers required is determined by the number of frames required.

Step 5

After the layers are added, you need to draw their contents in the window of the created file. This can be done using the tools that are displayed on the left side of the program window. To use ready-made images as layers, you need to load them through the “File” menu and the “Open” option, and then drag them to the window of the previously created file using the “Move Tool”.

Step 6

When the layers are ready, you can animate them. To do this, you need to open a block with a timeline: the "Window" menu, the "Timeline" item. Then, in the upper right corner of the block that opens, you should click the only button available here and select the "Make Frames From Layers" option. After that, frames of future animation will be displayed from the created layers along the timeline. Under each of them, you can set the display duration. Here, frames can be edited and future animation can be played.

Step 7

To save the final result of your work, you must click "File" and then select "Save For Web". In the window that opens, select the.gif"
