When working on a computer, text can be entered in different languages. In some cases, the keyboard layout may change automatically, in other cases, the user must switch the input language on his own. For easier orientation on the "Taskbar" you can display the "Language bar", then the user at any time will be able to see and determine whether the Russian font or English is selected at the moment.
Instructions
Step 1
The Language Bar can appear anywhere on the screen, but it is more convenient to place it in the notification area of the Taskbar. The notification area is a field located on the right side of the "Taskbar", there are also clocks and icons of running tasks (antivirus software, Internet connection, information about connected equipment, etc.). To see all the icons in the notification area, expand it by clicking on the arrow button.
Step 2
If the display of the "Language Bar" on your computer is configured, you will see an icon with the letters EN (English) or RU (Russian) on the "Taskbar". Sometimes, instead of it, there may be an icon with the image of the American or Russian flag. If you do not see this icon, customize its display. To do this, right-click on the "Taskbar", select the "Toolbars" item in the drop-down menu and set the marker in the "Language bar" line in the submenu. With the help of the "Language bar" you can always see which font is selected.
Step 3
You will immediately determine whether you have a Russian or English font if you start any text editor and start typing words. To switch from Latin to Cyrillic (from English to Russian), click on the "Language bar" icon with the left mouse button. In the drop-down menu with the left mouse button, select the line "Russian" - the input language will change. From the keyboard, switching between languages occurs by pressing the keyboard shortcut alt="Image" and Shift or Ctrl and Shift.
Step 4
You can configure additional options for entering text and displaying the Language Bar in the Regional and Language Options window. Call it by clicking on the "Start" button and selecting on the "Control Panel" in the category "Date, time, language and regional standards" icon "Regional and Language Options". Go to the Language tab and click the Details button in the Language and Text Input Services section.
Step 5
In the additional dialog box that opens, go to the "Options" tab and click the "Language bar" button located at the bottom of the window. Place a marker in the fields you need to customize the display of the "Language Bar". By clicking on the "Keyboard Options" button, you can set which keys you will use to switch from English to Russian when entering words. Apply new settings, close windows.
