To replace the Russian font in various programs, you can use both adding font files to the system, and special applications. To install a font, you must first find a suitable font and download it to your computer.

Instructions
Step 1
Open your browser, go to the website ifont.ru or xfont.ru to select the desired font. On these pages, fonts are categorized. Choose the one you like and download to your computer. Unpack the archive into any folder, then go to the main menu, select "Control Panel", then open the "Fonts" folder.
Step 2
Select the "Install Font" command from the "File" menu. In the window that appears, in the explorer pane, select the folder into which you unpacked the font files. The font names are displayed in the upper window. Click on the name of the font file, click "OK". Or just move the font files to this folder. Now go to the program to change the Cyrillic font and select the required one.
Step 3
Follow the next step if Russian fonts are not displayed in programs. Click on the "Start" button, select the "Run" option, enter the Regedit command, in the opened registry editor find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Control / Nls / CodePage branch, then find the value 1250, 1251, 1252, change them to 1251. Now you can change the Russian font to the downloaded one.
Step 4
Install a special application to change Cyrillic fonts. For example, Font Navigator 4.0. It supports searching for fonts as well as installing / removing font files. One of the best programs for working with fonts is the FontExpert 2007 application. It is intended for viewing and installing fonts. Also, this program is able to fix problems with fonts, preview font typefaces. The font can be viewed as text with specific formatting.
