Fonts in the operating system do not always work correctly. This is primarily due to the fact that few of them support the Russian language. Therefore, in order to avoid incomprehensible hieroglyphs in the menu, you need to make the appropriate settings.
Instructions
Step 1
Open desktop properties by right clicking on it. Open the design settings tab and select one of the standard fonts from the drop-down menu. Apply and save your changes.
Step 2
If the previous point did not help, open the control panel of your computer. Find the "Regional and Language Options" menu, open it and in the settings window that appears, select the "Advanced" tab. If your distribution kit for your operating system is not on one of the hard drives, insert the disk with the Windows OS that was installed on your computer. Configure support for the Russian language in the drop-down menu, restart your computer.
Step 3
If you want fonts available only for Latin characters in a text or graphic editor to be available for the Russian keyboard layout, copy its name and search the Internet with it. This is due to the fact that some fonts may not display correctly in the system when using different languages, but most of them have universal counterparts that will work stably with your favorite one.
Step 4
After downloading the fonts, install them on the system. To do this, open the appropriate item in the control panel and use the "Copy" - "Paste" functions to install the font into this folder. Also, installation can be done by dragging and pressing the left mouse button.
Step 5
Test the display of new fonts in a text or image editor by launching it and choosing a text input mode. In the editing tools field, open the drop-down menu for fonts and find new ones in them. Check their work on the example of entering several characters using the Russian keyboard layout, after selecting the text or part of it with the left mouse button.
