Some of the emails may be confidential. I would like to protect such correspondence more reliably. The Yandex mail service does not get tired of reminding you that, for security reasons, you should periodically change your password to enter your mailbox. Putting a new password on your email is a snap.
Instructions
Step 1
The entrance to the mailbox is protected by a password during registration. The postal service offers to select the "name" of the mailbox (login), enter the password and repeat it in the line below to make sure that the character set is not entered randomly. Registration is simply impossible without this.
Step 2
To put a new password on the mail, start the browser, enter your mailbox, specifying your username and your old password.
Step 3
Enter mail settings. To do this, left-click on the "Settings" link located in the upper right part of the window (it is located just below your email address).
Step 4
On the opened page with available actions, select the "Security" section by clicking on the inscription or on the icon with the left mouse button. This section is responsible for the security of the connection, confirmation of the phone number and changing passwords.
Step 5
After going to the security settings page, select "Change password". In order to go directly to entering a new password, follow the link "change password" - it is in the middle of the sentence "For security reasons, we recommend that you regularly change the password for your mailbox."
Step 6
In the change password window, enter in the first field the old password with which you last logged into your mailbox. Enter your new password in the second field, confirm it (enter it again) in the third field. Enter the characters from the picture below to confirm the password change operation. Click on the "Finish" button at the bottom of the screen.
