A password set on a computer can help protect it from being used in the absence of the owner, become part of comprehensive information protection, and help protect data.
Instructions
Step 1
Press and hold the Del key while turning on the computer. In most computers, it is she who is responsible for loading the BIOS settings system. If when you press this key, the computer does not enter BIOS, then you can try using the "Esc", "F1" or "F11" keys for this.
Step 2
After loading the BIOS, you must set a password that the computer will require when you turn on the computer for the subsequent boot. Select the "Set user password" menu item. The system will ask you to enter the password that will be used twice. By default, the password is set to access the BIOS settings, and not to boot the system. In order for the computer to require a password for booting, in the "Advanced Bios Features" section, change the "Password Check" item from the "BIOS" value to the "System" value. After changing this parameter, press "F10". When asked by the system about saving the changed data, press the "Y" key, and then exit the BIOS settings by pressing the Enter key. The computer will restart. On the next boot, it will ask you to enter the password you set.
