Sometimes it is enough just to open a page of an infected website to infect a computer virus. In this case, the so-called client scripts are processed in the browser, the most common of which is JavaScript. This script can be stopped (disabled) to improve security.
Necessary

- - browser with installed plugin to disable scripts.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch the browser you are using. When using the Opera browser, enter the "Menu", open the "Settings" item, select the "General settings" line, enter the "Advanced" tab and in the "Content" item uncheck the "Enable JavaScript" line. You can also enter the "Settings" of this browser by pressing the key combination "Ctrl + F12". To restrict some of the script's capabilities, click the "Configure JavaScript" button.
Step 2
Subsequently, if you need to re-enable JavaScript when you visit a site, you can do this by right-clicking the pop-up menu and selecting "Site Settings". On the "Scripts" tab, check the box next to the corresponding line. The list of currently used scripts can be viewed in the sidebar in the "Details" item.
Step 3
In the Internet Explorer browser, select the "Tools" menu item, and in it - the "Internet Options" sub-item. On the Security tab, click the Custom button, go to the Scripting section and disable active scripting and Java application scripting.
Step 4
If you are using the Mozilla Firefox browser, enter the "Tools" menu item and select the "Options" sub-item in it. On the "Content" tab, uncheck the box next to the "Use JavaScript" line.
Step 5
In the Safari browser, click the Show Basic Settings button. From the drop-down list, select the "Settings" item and uncheck the "Enable JavaScript" line on the "Security" tab.
Step 6
For the Google Chrome browser, select the "Tools" item in the menu, in it - the "Options" sub-item and on the "Advanced" tab, click the "Content Settings" button. Set the JavaScript toggle to blocking this script on all sites.
