Flash games - from simple applications for children to roulettes on online casino sites - are files in FLV or SWF format that can be played without downloading additional software. Almost any flash game on the Internet can be saved to a computer and then played offline.
Instructions
Step 1
To save the flash game to your computer via Firefox, launch the browser. Then go to the page with the game you want to download. Right-click an area with no text on a web page, then select View Page Info from the menu that appears. You can also click "Tools - Page Information" in the top bar of the browser.
Step 2
Wait for the Page Information window to appear, then click the Media tab. A list of media files available on the web page is displayed. Scrolling through this list, find the file with the extension.flv or.swf. This is the game file (if there are no other flash games on the page).
Step 3
Select this file, then click the Save As button at the bottom of the window. Enter the file name, then browse to the folder on your computer where you want to save the game file. Click the Save button. Wait while Firefox downloads the game file and saves it to the folder of your choice.
Step 4
In order to save a flash game to a computer via Internet Explorer, launch the browser and go to the web page with the game. Click the Tools link on the menu. When the drop-down menu appears, select the Internet Options option.
Step 5
Click the General tab, then click the Settings button. Next, select View Files to view a list of Temporary Internet Files on your computer. Scroll through the list until you find a.flv or.swf file. Right click on this file and select the Copy option.
Step 6
Click the Start button and then My Computer. Navigate to the folder on your computer where you want to save the flash game file. Right-click inside the folder window and select the Paste option. Wait for the browser to save the flash game file to your computer.
