If you have started to master the Adobe Photoshop program, then for sure every day you discover a lot of new possibilities that this program provides. One of its great features is working with brushes. There are a variety of brushes for Photoshop: simple ones with which you can create various lines; brushes for creating special effects; and even brushes, which are a ready-made drawing. There are tons of brushes available for download on the net. But how do you load them into Adobe Photoshop now? Below is an instruction specially for you.

Instructions

Step 1

Download your favorite brushes from the Internet and save them to a folder convenient for you.

Step 2

Your brushes have been downloaded in archive format. Now each such archive needs to be unpacked. In the folder with the Adobe Photoshop program, find the folder where the default brushes are stored (if your version is in English, then this folder is called "Presets" - "Brushes"). In it, unpack or copy all files with the.abr extension - this is the format of brushes.

Step 3

You can unpack your brushes to another, more convenient place for you, only in this case you will have to manually load the necessary brushes from these folders each time. If you are unpacking brushes to other places, and not in the "Brushes" folder, then it is better to create several folders with different themes, in which to distribute the downloaded brushes - so you will not get confused when you start using them, because if there are too many brushes, find the desired one can be difficult enough.

Step 4

Open the Adobe Photoshop program (if you had it open when you installed the brushes, then close it and open it again so that it has time to discover new tools). Select the "Brush Tool" (or "Brush" in the Russian version). At the top, click on the brush selection icon, then click on the little black arrow. A menu will drop out with a selection of all available brushes.

Step 5

Find the line "Load Brushes" ("Load brushes" if you have a Russian version) and click on it. In the window that appears, select the path to the file where your brushes are stored and click "OK". Your brushes will now appear in the palette.

Step 6

If you originally loaded the brushes into the Brushes folder, then your brushes will be there permanently. Repeat the fourth step and at the bottom in the drop-down menu select the name of the desired set of brushes.

That's all. I wish you enjoyable and creative work in Adobe Photoshop!
