Modern mobile phones are quite easy to change software. This process is called flashing. To implement it, you need to install special drivers.
Necessary
- - access to the Internet;
- - USB cable.
Instructions
Step 1
The main purpose of the firmware drivers is to provide communication between the switched off mobile phone and the computer. Most devices are flashed off, so having the correct firmware drivers is half the battle. First, select the program with which you will flash the phone.
Step 2
This is a very important step, because various utilities require certain sets of firmware drivers. If the required drivers are not included in the set of utility files for the firmware, then download them separately. Select exactly those files that work in conjunction with the installed program for the firmware.
Step 3
If you downloaded the firmware drivers in exe format, then just run this file and install the required drivers, following the instructions of the menu that opens. This is the simplest, but not always the most effective way.
Step 4
If you downloaded the data archive, then unpack its contents. It is better to use WinRar or WinZip utilities for this. There are programs that come with plugins for working with archives. An example of such a utility is Total Commander.
Step 5
Move the extracted files to the System32 folder located in the Windows directory. Now turn off your mobile phone and connect it to your computer via a special cable. Wait for the automatic detection and installation of drivers. If this process was not carried out by the system, then right-click on the name of the phone in the device manager.
Step 6
Select the "Update drivers" item and click on the "Install from a list or specific location" option. Select the System32 folder and click the Ok button. Be sure to first make sure that the selected drivers are compatible with your mobile phone, operating system and firmware program.
