The Autorun.inf file is used by the operating system to start the automatic installation of programs. But very often such files can appear after viruses get on the computer. And they have nothing to do with running programs. They can block access to the contents of not only folders, but also an entire partition of a hard drive. If the file is deleted in the usual way, then after restarting the computer, it is as if nothing had happened in the old place.

Instructions
Step 1
Scan your computer for viruses and malware before deleting a file. Usually, this file also contains a virus on the computer. You need to scan all partitions of the hard drive, including RAM. If the antivirus detects malware, remove it.
Step 2
Download the Unlocker program from the Internet. With its help, you can delete problem files. During the installation process, you can select the language of the program interface. After installing the program on the computer, a new option will appear in the context menu.
Step 3
Click on the Autorun.inf file. Then select the Unlocker option in the context menu. A small window will appear, in the left corner of which there is an arrow. Click on this arrow and select "Delete" from the list of available actions. The file will be deleted from the computer. If you see a window that says "Unable to uninstall", in this window select "Uninstall on next system boot. Then restart your computer. The file will be deleted from the PC hard drive.
Step 4
If the file is still not deleted, you need to start the operating system in safe mode and try to delete it. To enter the menu for selecting the operating system boot modes when turning on the computer, press the F8 key. If you have a laptop, then depending on its model, other F-keys can be used to enter this menu. You can try the simple bulkhead method, alternately pressing different F keys.
Step 5
When the window for choosing the option to boot the operating system appears, respectively, select "Safe Mode". Wait for the computer to boot. Then everything is the same as in the previous case. Just delete the file using Unlocker. After that, boot the computer in normal mode.
Step 6
Also, after deleting the file, it is recommended to check the computer again for viruses and malware.
