Most games require the presence of one of the installation DVDs or CDs in the drive. Many players are at least annoyed by this policy of publishing houses, and in the worst case, after a couple of months of active play, the disc may stop reading. A popular solution to this problem is to make a copy and use it, and just keep the original just in case. Such discs cannot be copied normally, so the help of special programs is needed.
Instructions
Step 1
Download the Daemon Tools disk imaging utility, which is best suited for complex copying cases. There are many programs for this purpose, but on the DT side there is an advantage in the form of free and support for the Russian language. Also in favor of this particular "tool" is the constant update of the version and the approval of users around the world. If you wish, you can use Alcohol 120%, but keep in mind that the program is paid and its Russian version is not always available.
Step 2
Run the installation file, click the "Install" button to start the installation. Agree to the terms of the application license agreement by checking the box and clicking Next. Restart the computer after installation, it is necessary for the program to connect its drivers and work in the system.
Step 3
Launch the circle icon from the desktop, add at least one virtual disk drive to the system. Then press the button with the image of a disk in a flame, it is on the far right in the program window. This is necessary to download the disc burning component from the utility developer.
Step 4
Select Astroburn Trial or Lite in the browser window. When the file is downloaded, double-click it and install the program (the process is the same as described above).
Step 5
Insert the original game into the drive and click on the Daemon Tools icon in the lower right side of the screen near the clock. A menu will open from which select the "Create Image" item. Specify the source drive letter and storage location for the file. It is desirable that the space is at least 10 gigabytes. Also provide a name, such as the name of the game. Press the "Start" button and wait for the copying to complete.
Step 6
Insert a good quality blank DVD like Verbatim, Ricoh. Use a write once disc that is not rewritable.
Step 7
Go to the main window of the disk imaging utility. At the top of the list, you will see the file you want. Click once on it to highlight and press the button with the burning disk. Or, right-click to bring up the menu and select "Burn Using Astroburn Lite".
Step 8
In the program window, select the write speed from the drop-down list - the lower the better. Check the "Check" box and click the "Start recording" button. Wait until the operations are completed, it is best not to start any additional programs at this time. Click "OK" and close the utility window.
