The computer can also be used as a clock. OS Windows provides the ability to independently change the system time and date on the computer, but you need administrator rights for this.
Instructions
Step 1
Click on the clock icon in the tray (lower right corner of the screen). In the "Time" section in the window with the current value, double-click on the parameter you want to change: hours, minutes or seconds, and enter a new value. For a rough adjustment, you can click on the up and down arrows on the right side of the window. This changes the "clock" parameter.
Step 2
In the "Time zone" tab, you can select the time zone in which you are. Expand the list and mark the required city with the cursor, then press OK to confirm the selection. Since the presidential decree in Russia cancels the transition to daylight saving time, you can uncheck the box next to the item "Automatic transition …". Click OK for the change to take effect.
Step 3
To display the time on your computer accurately, you can synchronize it with the time on the time.windows.com server. To do this, select the "Synchronize …" checkbox and click OK.
Step 4
You can call the date and time properties window differently. Go to the "Control Panel" and double-click on the "Date and Time" icon. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 installed, to cancel daylight saving time, in the "Date and Time" tab, click the "Change time zone" button and in the time zone selection window, uncheck the corresponding item.
Step 5
The date and time properties window can be invoked from the command line. Apply the hotkeys Win + R and enter the timedate.cpl command in the program launcher window.
Step 6
You can change the date and time in the BIOS (Basic Input / Output System) settings. Restart your computer and wait for the Press delete to setup prompt to appear on the screen. Instead of Delete, the BIOS developer can assign a different key, usually F2 or F10.
Step 7
In the SETUP menu, find the item Standart CMOS or with a similar name, which contains the date and time settings. Enter a new time value and press F10 to save changes. Answer “Y” to the system's question.
