Usually, the exact time is set during the installation of the operating system and subsequently practically does not require adjustments. Nevertheless, sometimes the user is faced with the need to set the exact time on the computer. In addition, after the cancellation of the transition to winter time in Russia, it is required to cancel the automatic transition from summer time to winter time and back.
Step 2
If you are using Windows XP, double-click the time icon in the lower right corner of the screen. The window for setting the time and date appears. You can also call it through the "Control Panel": "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Date and Time".
Step 3
In the window that opens, select the "Time zone" tab. Set the required time zone, then uncheck the box "Automatic daylight saving time and back." Go to the "Date and Time" tab, set the year, month, day and current time. Click OK. Date and time have been updated.

In the Windows 7 operating system, changing the date and time is similar. Click the time icon in the lower right corner of the screen. A window with an analog clock and calendar will open. Click the Change Date and Time Settings link. In the window that opens, click the "Change time zone" button and select the option you need. Save your change, then click the Change Date and Time button, select the data you want, and save your changes.

For the Windows XP operating system, there is a very good program LClock, which replaces the standard time display icon with a more convenient one. By installing this program, you can independently customize the size and color of the displayed numbers. When you click on the time icon, a calendar appears, a second click removes it. After installation, the program runs in automatic mode.
Step 6
LClock does not work in Windows 7; in this operating system, for the convenience of displaying the time, you can use gadgets. For example, display an analog clock and set it to the "Top of all windows" option. Place the clock in the upper right corner of the screen. When working, they will always be in front of your eyes, which is very convenient.
