DLL files are an integral part of programs that run on a computer because they contain important data that utilities access to process user commands. DLLs are located in the system directory and can be manually extracted or copied from other folders.
Instructions
Step 1
Files with the DLL extension are located in a special Windows directory, which can be accessed by going to the "Start" - "Computer" - "Local drive C:" menu. In the list of directories presented, double-click on the Windows folder, and then go to the System32 directory, where all the files necessary for the stable functioning of the system are located.
Step 2
Library files are usually placed automatically in the correct directory during the installation of programs and do not require additional operations from the user. An error in the location and use of the DLL file occurs if the installation file of the program has been damaged.
Step 3
The missing DLL error can be corrected by reinstalling the program. To do this, you need to re-download the installer of the required utility and run it for re-installation.
Step 4
If after reinstalling the program still does not start or an error pops up while using the utility itself, you will need to install the DLL file manually. Go to dll.ru or dllbase.com. In the search box for the file name, enter the name of the library that Windows refers to when publishing an error. In the search results, click on the Download button and wait for the file to download, entering the security code to confirm.
Step 5
After downloading, copy the resulting file to the Windows - System32 directory. To do this, you just need to move the document from the downloads directory using the usual copy operation or moving the DLL from one folder to another using the left mouse button drag and drop.
