Over time, a lot of them can accumulate, and the computer can start to slow down considerably. After all, these programs use RAM and some of the processor's resources. Step 1
Next, we will describe the process of removing programs from startup using TuneUp Utilities 2011. The advantage of this method is that this application displays the rating of startup programs, which can be used to determine their usefulness.
Step 2
Download TuneUp Utilities 2011 from the Internet. The program is paid, but there is a trial period for its use. Install the application on your computer. Start it up.
Step 3
After the first launch, the program will analyze your system. Upon completion, a dialog box will appear prompting you to optimize the system. If you agree to the optimization, then system errors will be fixed, and after that you will be taken to the main menu of the application. If you just close this dialog box, you will be directly in the main TuneUp menu.
Step 4
In the main menu of the program, go to the "System Optimization" tab. In the "Reduce the load on the system" section, there is an option "Disable startup programs". Select this option.
Step 5
A window will appear in which you will see a list of all programs that have been added to autorun. Among the criteria of the program is the criterion "Usefulness". This criterion is measured by the number of stars (from one to five). When you hover your cursor over the stars, the program's rating number appears. The programs will be highly useful in antiviruses, diagnostics and optimization programs.

There is a slider next to each program. Drag this slider to a different position. The message "Autostart disabled" will appear next to the program. In this way, remove all unnecessary programs from autorun, leaving only the most popular ones (it is recommended to leave the antivirus and computer diagnostic programs). After completing all the actions, simply close the TuneUp Utilities 2011 window. The next time you boot the operating system, these programs will not load.
