Quite often, there is a need to transfer information to users of the local network. And so that they do not run to each other with flash drives or disks, but calmly exchange information while sitting at their workplace, you can simply create a folder with the necessary information (a shared resource) and share it with others.
Instructions
Step 1
Select the folder you want to make public.
Step 2
Right-click on the icon of the selected folder and select "Properties" in the menu that appears.
Step 3
In the window that appears, select the "Access" tab and put a checkmark in front of the "Share this folder" item. You can also assign any name to the shared folder in the Share Name field. It will be seen by everyone who came to your computer (the real name of the folder will be hidden). If you want all users of the local network to be able to change the contents of the folder, that is, copy, move, delete files, then check the box next to the "Allow changing files over the network" item.
Step 4
Click on the "OK" button. If everything is done correctly, the folder icon will be supplemented with an image of an open palm.
