The division of a hard disk into several logical disks is performed to prevent the loss of important information in the event of an OS crash. During a forced reinstallation of Windows, information saved on a separate logical drive will not be lost. In Windows Vista or 7, there is the possibility of dividing the hard disk through the OS itself. However, this method will not allow you to specify the exact size of the discs. And in earlier versions of Windows, you cannot share a hard drive using the OS. Therefore, we will consider a universal method.
