Short-term failures occur in the work of any computer. But what if the system freezes constantly, day in and day out? In such cases, it is important to find the root cause of the problem.
Various factors can cause your computer to freeze.
Viruses
These are programs that can harm individual files or the entire operating system. The problem of viruses often arises even for experienced users: the fact is that malicious programs are created by qualified programmers who know their business well.
To ensure that your computer is not interrupted by viruses, you need to install anti-virus programs, as well as follow a few simple rules. In particular, it is recommended to check the sources of downloading information and reject all intrusive offers to become a participant in online sweepstakes.
Antivirus
Oddly enough, installing an antivirus can also cause your computer to freeze frequently. These programs run in the background, i.e. in constant mode, therefore they consume processor and memory resources. If these resources are insufficient, system malfunctions appear.
Antivirus can be disabled. To do this, go to the system tray (lower right part of the screen), find the antivirus program icon and change its settings. However, it is not recommended to disable such software - it would be more correct to increase computer resources.
Deprecated configuration
The settings on your PC may not match the programs you use or the games you play. As a result, there are frequent freezes. You can get out of the situation only with the help of an upgrade, i.e. computer updates.
The RAM and CPU usually need to be improved. Game lovers will need a powerful graphics card.
Program crash
Sometimes there is such a situation: you start a program, and it stops responding to your actions, not responding to button presses and mouse clicks. You can forcibly terminate the faulty program: the combination Ctrl + Alt + Delete or Ctrl + Shift + Esc will come to the rescue. In the list that appears, highlight the problematic application and click End Task.
If some program freezes regularly, it is better to install a new version of it or completely abandon it in favor of a similar one.
Extra files
The operation of the operating system leads to the formation of many temporary files. The system registry is also filled with unnecessary information. All of these can also cause your computer to freeze.
For example, the CCleaner program can help clean your PC from "garbage". It is convenient, easy to use and allows you to quickly get rid of unnecessary data that slows down your work.
