Files with the *.dmg extension are images of disks created and intended for storing information in the Mac OS operating system. Opening such files in this OS occurs automatically using the Disk Utility application. In the Microsoft Windows OS, additional software must be used to convert such files into formats compatible with the operating system.

Instructions
Step 1
Download and install on your computer one of the specialized programs that allow you to convert a file with the.dmg extension to the.iso format compatible with the Microsoft Windows operating system.
Step 2
Run the executable file of the TransMac application by double clicking and follow the recommendations of the installation wizard. Apply the checkbox to the "Associate with.dmg files" box.
Step 3
Double-click the downloaded zip archive of the dmg2img application and move the extracted files to a new folder, or run the executable file of the dmg2iso application (does not require installation) by double-clicking from an arbitrary folder.
Step 4
Call the main menu of the Microsoft Windows operating system by clicking the "Start" button and select the "All Programs" item.
Step 5
Expand the Accessories node and start the Windows Explorer application.
Step 6
Find the folder or disk containing the file with the.dmg extension to be opened and open its context menu by clicking the right mouse button (for the TransMac program).
Step 7
Select the "Expand" command and specify the full path to the desired location for saving a copy of the required file in the.iso format (for TransMac).
Step 8
Enter the selected value for the name of the saved file and click the "Save" button (for TransMac software).
Step 9
Return to the main Start menu and go to Run to use the dmg2img tool.
Step 10
Enter the value dmg2img full_path_and_name_of_to_converted_file.dmg full_path_and_name_of_copy_file.img in the "Open" field and confirm the execution of the conversion command by clicking OK (for the dmg2img program).
Step 11
Return to the main Start menu again to use the dmg2iso utility and go to Run.
Step 12
Enter the value dmg2iso full_path_and_name_of_to_converted_file.dmg full_path_and_name_of_copy_file.img in the "Open" field and confirm the execution of the conversion command by clicking OK.
