The command line is the most functional element of Windows. Using the list of commands, you can perform any actions (launching an application, copying, deleting) or find out detailed information about the system, its components and installed hardware. Experienced users use the command line integrated into the Windows distribution to debug and diagnose, as well as monitor the operating system.
Necessary
Windows computer
Instructions
Step 1
There are several ways to open the command line. The first way is to find the executable file of the program. To do this, go to the Start menu, go to the All Programs tab, then select Accessories, then Command Prompt.
Step 2
Second way. Go to the Start menu and click Run (or use Win + R). In the window that appears, enter the cmd command and confirm it by pressing OK or the Enter key.
Step 3
To start Task Manager, type taskmgr at the command prompt and confirm with the Enter key. The Task Manager window appears, displaying information about running processes, CPU and RAM utilization, and network traffic.
Step 4
If this does not happen, then the launch of the task manager may be prohibited by the system administrator. If you are, then most likely this is the result of a computer virus, and you need to check with antivirus software and follow these steps.
Step 5
Use the combination of buttons Win + R ("Start - Run"), then in the window that opens, enter regedit and confirm the action. In the registry editor that appears, follow the address: // HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Policies / System // (the path may differ in different versions of Windows).
Step 6
Select DisableTaskMgr by double-clicking the left mouse button and change the value from "1" to "0". All changes should be saved and then rebooted. Then repeat steps 1-3.
