Verification of the authenticity of a licensed product is a mandatory procedure for those who really care what software they use. There are several ways to check.

Internet connection
Instructions
Step 1
If your operating system was purchased as a standalone software product in its original packaging from a computer or laptop, please note that you have a Microsoft Certificate of Authenticity. It can in no way be sold separately from software. A distinctive feature of a genuine certificate is the 3D Voiles system and security threads.
Step 2
If the protection of your software includes holographic elements on the disc, make sure that this is not a sticker, since in the original versions the hologram is embedded in the material from which the optical carrier is produced. In addition, the inner ring of the Windows disc must contain an additional hologram that changes color when the disc is tilted. If you notice that it is peeling off, contact Microsoft for a software replacement. In this case, you must have a sales receipt from the purchase.
Step 3
Pay attention to the presence of protective elements along the edges of the disc - usually this is typical for new software products. The outer mirror ring of such discs when tilted must contain Microsoft text, which changes to Genuine when tilted.
Step 4
Pay special attention to the packaging - it should in no case contain text with typos, a blurry image or an image that does not correspond to the purchased product. Also, the box with the operating system must be in proper form and contain on one of the sides information about the purchased product, including the name and version of the product.
Step 5
Use the official Microsoft software support site to check the version of the operating system installed on your computer. It has a special section that will help you check Windows for validity.
