Thanks to computer games that support the use of the steering wheel, the player can feel like a real driver. However, before taking the "driver's seat", you will need to properly configure this function in the game.
Instructions
Step 1
Install a game that supports steering wheel control. Insert the game disc into the drive. During installation, you will need to select the required folder where the game will be placed, after which the files will continue to be unpacked into it. Once the game has been installed on your PC, launch it and start setting up your steering wheel.
Step 2
Connect the steering wheel to your computer. Most often, modern models are connected via a USB connector. Plug in the junction box that powers the device. First of all, connect the wires that go to the steering base from the pedals. Next, connect the steering wheel to the computer using a USB cable and then plug in the power supply.
Step 3
Adjust the steering wheel correctly. After launching the installed game, open the "Options" subsection. In it, you must select the item "Control settings". Once the window opens, you will see sections such as Keyboard Settings, Mouse Settings, and Alternate Controls. Depending on the version of the game, the menu items may be named differently.
Step 4
Open the Alternate Steering menu to customize the rudder. Click on the action under the Gas heading and wait for the option to change the parameter on the screen. After that, press the gas pedal on your steering wheel and you can fix the selected action. To change the steering parameters, you will need to turn the steering wheel in the appropriate directions. In addition, you can also set additional useful parameters available in the game, and "hang" them on the steering wheel buttons.
Step 5
Save the new parameters after you have made all the changes. Start a new game and check how the steering wheel works. Some device models may not respond very quickly and smoothly to the player's actions. But after doing a few trips, you "develop the steering wheel", after which all the inconveniences will go away by themselves.
