Each of us was faced with the task of copying a program from one personal or mobile computer to another. However, based on practice, with a simple transfer, most of the configuration files do not work or do not start. Most often this is due to the fact that many programs, in order to avoid their unauthorized use, require entering license keys, including during reinstallation.

Step 1
Before giving you some guidelines for copying a program, let's take a look at the types of programs. The first is programs that use one INI file to store their parameters, the second type is several such files, while they are responsible for various program functions. In the third case, when programs store settings using the system registry, you are unlikely to be able to copy, since you need a key or after the first launch all parameters will be set to "default". And, finally, the fourth type - programs that use both an INI file and the system registry, and in this situation, the transfer of the program most often leads to unpredictable consequences.
Step 2
You can use the dpkg-repack package to copy "hard-to-carry" programs.
Step 3
To do this, you first need to install it, and then restore the already installed software back to the package as follows: dpkg-repack someprogram. This procedure will generate a package file in the current folder that will contain the original version of the installation package.
Step 4
Then you can use the CD / DVD-ROM drive, insert a blank disc into it and use NERO to write the program from this computer, then copy it to another medium.
Step 5
To start the program, you just need to click Setup. In conclusion, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that there is no difference in installing dpkg-repack at the beginning of the installation or at the end.
