If you don't have a TV in your house, it doesn't matter. You can connect all the channels you are interested in to your personal computer. To do this, you need to buy a TV tuner, connect and configure it accordingly.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy a TV tuner from any computer store to connect to the channels. There are two types of TV tuners: standalone and computer dependent. It is best to purchase a standalone TV tuner, but it costs more and is not always more practical than your colleague, dependent on a personal computer.
Step 2
Read carefully the instructions that came with your TV tuner. Connect it according to the instructions in the manual. If you bought an internal TV tuner, i.e. device in the form of a board, then you will need to install it inside the system unit. To do this, remove the side panel of the system unit to gain access to the PCI slot on the motherboard.
Step 3
Install the TV tuner into it by first removing the cover from the back of the system unit. If you bought an external TV tuner, then connect it using a special connection cable, which must be included in the kit.
Step 4
Start your personal computer. Insert the CD with the TV tuner drivers, which are also included in the package, into the drive. In parallel with the drivers, a special program will be installed on your personal computer. You will need it to view channels. This program looks like a virtual TV.
Step 5
Run the program. Turn it on to automatically search for TV channels. After the search is complete, place the channels in a convenient location and give them names to make it easier to navigate. Also, using a special function, you can set the time according to which the "virtual TV" will automatically turn on. If you want to connect foreign television channels, then you will need to connect a satellite dish to your TV tuner, which will significantly expand the capabilities of your personal computer.
