Information on a computer, as a rule, plays a huge role for a modern person. Portable devices such as flash drives are used to transfer various files. However, users often have problems with transferring information to media.
Necessary
- - USB drive;
- - computer.
Instructions
Step 1
To solve this problem, you need to know a little about the basics of working on a computer. First of all, prepare the files to be transferred to the USB device. Try to put everything in folders so that there is no confusion in the future. A large number of system files are stored on the computer, in addition to user information, so you should think about creating your own directory on a local disk.
Step 2
Save all information in a folder with a name for each file. Next, you need to prepare a USB drive to which the data will be transferred from the computer. First of all, decide on the amount of data. If your information takes about 700 MB, you need a flash drive with a volume of at least 1 GB. To view the amount of information, right-click on the folder and select "Properties". Further in the column "Size" will be indicated the amount of information that this folder occupies.
Step 3
However, don't jump to conclusions right away. Pay attention to the column "Volume on disk". It will be slightly larger. It is on this amount of information that you need to navigate. Choose a USB device that can accommodate this amount of information. Next, plug the equipment into a USB port on your computer. It is usually located on the back of the system unit. As soon as the computer detects a new device, a window will appear on the computer in which you will need to select one of the ways to use this device.
Step 4
Select "Open File Explorer". Next, open the folder that you want to write to the USB flash drive. Click on it with the right mouse button and at the same time drag the USB device to the open “explorer” window. The information will start copying from the computer to the portable USB. Wait a few minutes. It is also worth noting that the copying time directly depends on the amount of transmitted information.
