Instructions
Step 1
When installing the Windows XP operating system, install support for all available languages, as you may need it later. This configuration will not take up much space on your hard disk, but at certain times it can be indispensable.
Step 2
Open the computer control panel and select the most recent menu - "Regional and Language Options". Here you can configure everything regarding adding and removing keyboard layouts, support for a particular language by the operating system and editors, customize keys to change keyboard layouts, apply a specific language input for certain editor programs, and many others.
Step 3
Before changing the settings, it is best to create an operating system restore point, if you are unsure of your computer skills, to do this, select the appropriate utility from the list of standard Start menu utilities, add a restore point, and continue changing the language settings.
Step 4
Go to the second tab of the language settings in the window that opens and click the "Details" button in the upper right corner. In the area for adding keyboard layouts, click the Add button. Select Tatar from the drop-down list of available languages.
Step 5
Apply the changes, if necessary - select the languages you are not using and remove them from the layout switching using the corresponding button. It is best to reboot the computer afterwards, even if not required by the operating system.
Step 6
If you want the fonts installed in the text editor to be applicable to the Tatar language, make sure when downloading that this language is supported by the font, or use the download of special Tatar fonts from specialized sites.
