A font in Windows 7 is used as a component for a user to create his own graphic files or documents using his own character sets. Installation of fonts in the system environment is performed using the standard "Fonts" tool available through the "Control Panel".
Instructions
Step 1
To access the "Fonts" section of the system, boot Windows and click on the "Start" menu. In the list that appears, select "Control Panel" - "Appearance and Personalization" - "Fonts".
Step 2
In the same window, you will see a tool for managing the fonts installed on the system. To import any sets of documents into this section, you just need to drag the TTF file from the folder with the desired font using the left mouse button pressed. After the transfer, the procedure for installing the desired character set will begin, and then you can use it in a graphical or text editor.
Step 3
Using this panel, you can also remove any installed font or view the alphabet and letterforms that it uses. Double-click on the desired file in this directory and a tool for viewing symbols will open in front of you. You can print the selected set on a printer to see how it will look on paper.
Step 4
In the "Fonts" panel, right-click on the selected file and delete unnecessary characters. You can also temporarily hide the display of one or another element by clicking on the "Hide" button.
Step 5
In the Windows 7 operating system, you can install the desired font without using a special toolbar. To copy it, just double-click on the required TTF document. The "Fonts" control panel is convenient if you need to import several TTF files at once.
Step 6
In the system, all font files can also be found in the "Start" - "My Computer" - "Local drive C:" - Windows - Fonts. You can manually import the necessary symbols there and manually delete unnecessary sets. You can copy each TTF file to any directory or edit it with font changers.
