If the reduction of a real drawing drawn with paints, felt-tip pens or pencils is essentially impossible, then with electronic versions of images everything is much simpler. It is enough to have at hand Photoshop and some skills in working with it.
Necessary
Adobe Photoshop
Instructions
Step 1
Launch Adobe Photoshop and open the required image in it: click the File -> Open menu item or click the Ctrl + O hotkeys. In the window that appears, select the desired file and click on "Open".
Step 2
Click the menu item "Image" -> "Image size" or use the hot keys Ctrl + Alt + I.
Step 3
A new window will appear - "Image size". In the "Pixel dimensions" section there are the "Width" and "Height" fields, set the required parameters in them. Percentages or pixels can be used as units. Use the dropdown menu to change them.
Step 4
If it is important for you not to lose the proportions of the picture, make sure to check the box next to Constrain proportions. The fact that this setting is activated will be indicated by the chain logo located to the right of the "Width" and "Height" fields. On the other hand, if you need to stretch the width or height of the picture, or otherwise distort the picture, do not activate this item. Now, when you change the width or height values, only one will change.
Step 5
Check the box next to "Resample image" and in the drop-down menu below it, select "Bicubic (best for reduction)".
Step 6
After making the necessary settings, click OK. If you are not satisfied with the result, you can go back one action using the Ctrl + Z key combination.
Step 7
To save the result, click the menu item "File" -> "Save as" or use the hotkeys Ctrl + Shift + S. In the new window, select the path for the future file, enter a name, in the "Type of files" (Format) field, specify Jpeg and click "Save".
