Users of Windows Vista and Windows XP operating systems get rid of shortcuts in a slightly different way. Find in the "Start" program "Run" ("Run"), usually it is in the standard programs, the folder "System". Run it and enter “regedit.exe” into the program launch line (without quotes). The registry editor will open in front of you.
Step 6
Using the left menu, find the directories in it:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClasseslnkfile
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClassespiffile
Remove the “Is Shortcut” parameter in these directories. Then close Registry Editor and restart your computer. To return arrows to shortcuts, re-write this parameter in the directories.
