When a file is created on a computer, a set of attributes is automatically assigned to it. These attributes include date, size, and file format. However, sometimes it is necessary to change the dates of the files. Windows 8, Windows 10, and Mac OS X are the most popular PC platforms today.

Instructions
Step 1
Download BulkFileChanger if you don't already have a copy on your system. This utility allows you to create lists of Windows files and change their attributes.
Step 2
Run BulkFileChanger. When the main menu appears, click File and then Add Files.
Step 3
Select the file (or folder) where you want to change the date / time attribute. It will appear as an entry in the list.
Step 4
Click Actions and then Change Time / Attributes.
Step 5
Change the attribute creation date or modified date. You can simply check the boxes in the menu for what you want to change. You can add a specific amount of current times to a file, or even copy times from one file to another to combine them.
Step 6
Click "Apply" when you have changed the time as you wish. The files will now reflect the new Created Date and Modified Date you created.
