Any file in the Windows operating system has a constant set of required attributes: name, extension, size, creation date, and others. Some attributes, like name or extensions, are mutable, others - like creation date - remain the same regardless of the operating system.

Step 1
Find a file whose attribute you are interested in. For convenience, you can do this in My Computer. Right-click on the file's icon and select Properties from the drop-down menu - usually the very last one. This menu reflects all the basic parameters of the files that are available on your computer. It is also worth noting that using the operating system, you can find out the model of the camera with which the photo was taken.
Step 2
The General tab displays information about all the file attributes: its type, the name of the application with which the file is associated, location, size, creation date, modification date and attributes such as Read Only, Hidden, Archived … Check the file creation date in the appropriate section. The date format is standard: day, month, year and exact time to seconds.

Other file managers have made this operation much easier. So, in Total Commander, information about the date of creation of files is displayed in a special column after the extension and size. The file creation date cannot be changed using the usual Windows tools, so this attribute can be considered constant and used when performing various operations on files. For example, Total Commander allows you to sort files by creation date. You can organize a search for files created on a specific day or not older than a specified number of days across the entire hard drive of your computer. This is useful, for example, when treating a computer from viruses.
