Canceling the print queue continues to be one of the most common tasks when using a computer as a work tool. The problem can be solved in several ways without the involvement of additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
Use the simplest method - the "Cancel" button on the printer itself, or try to cancel the print queue by selecting the command of the same name in the device menu.
Step 2
Open the main system menu "Start" and go to the "Run" dialog to use an alternative method for canceling the print queue. Enter the value of control printers in the "Open" line and authorize the command execution by clicking OK. Call the context menu of the printer in use by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Open" command. Call the context menu of the document print queue to be canceled by right-clicking and selecting the "Cancel" command, or use the "Clear print queue" option to delete all printer jobs.
Step 3
Return to the main system menu "Start" to perform another operation to cancel the print queue and expand the link "All programs". Expand Accessories and start Notepad. Create a new document and add the value net stop spooler to it. On the next line, type the value del% systemroot% system32spoolprinters *.shd and repeat the same value but with the extension.spl on the third line of the generated document. Re-enter the value net stop spooler in the last, fourth, line and open the top service menu "File" of the "Notepad" application window. Select Save As and enter the value for DriveName: DeletePrintJobs.cmd in the Filename line. Save the created document and enter (or copy and paste) its name in the Open text box of the Run dialog of the main system Start menu. Authorize the run of the generated command script by clicking OK and wait for the process to complete. This action will stop the Print Manager utility and delete all existing jobs.
