After installing Windows XP on your computer, the system periodically reminds you that the software needs to be activated, because after 30 days it will be unavailable for use. If you do not have a license key, try changing the activation entry in the Windows Registry Editor.

Step 1
To disable the notification about the activation of the Windows XP operating system, boot it in safe mode. To do this, when you turn on the computer, press the F8 key and select the desired item from the list of options that appears. Please note that if a password was previously set for the administrator account, you will have to enter it again.
Step 2
Log on to the system as a computer administrator. Open a Windows command prompt using the Run command from the Start menu. Type regedit in the box that appears and press Enter. You should have a large Windows Registry Editor window. Be especially careful when working with the registry, since many changes made to it may be irreversible.
Step 3
On the left side of the registry, where the folder tree is located, open the HKEY LOCAL MACHENE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / WindowsNT / Current Version / WPAEvents directory. It should contain a record of the activation of the Windows XP operating system, it is called OOBETimer. Replace existing numbers and letters with FF D5 71 D6 8B 6A 8D 6F D5 33 93 FD, apply changes.
Step 4
Check if the activation of the operating system has disappeared. If this sequence of actions did not work, try using the search for keys on the Internet and repeat the above steps using the information found.
Step 5
Remember that all of the above actions are a violation of the rules for using the software of the Windows operating system and entail criminal or administrative liability, just like installing the hacked versions, so it is best to purchase a licensed copy of the software. Also, most of the cracked versions do not support the installation of operating system updates, or their installation is incorrect, in contrast to the licensed software.
