Some PC users from time to time have a question about how to remake the video format without loss in quality. This can be done using special programs and without heavy compression of the video image. At the moment, there are a large number of such programs, but you should choose from those that best meet your requirements.

Instructions
Step 1
The program that meets our requirements must be free, functional and fast processing any video stream. Virtual Dub is such a program - it does not require installation; after downloading it, you need to display a shortcut on your desktop. You will also need to install a set of codecs with which the video image will be converted.
Step 2
Open the program by double clicking on the icon on the desktop. In the window that opens, click the top File menu and select the Open Video File command. To configure video encoding, click the Video menu and select Compression.
Step 3
In the window that opens, select the DivX codec (most preferable for encoding). Click the Configure button to change encoding settings. In the new window, left-click on the Certification Profile drop-down list. Here you can choose any ready-made profile, as a rule, they are intended for users who are not well versed in video encoding.
Step 4
If you want to get good image quality from the video, go to the Rate Control block. Press the button with the image of the calculator, in which you must specify all the parameters of your video file. Modify the Audio Bitrate text box, set the value as you see fit. Then click the Accept button to apply the set values.
Step 5
To change the values of the image itself, click the top Video menu and select the Filters command. In the window that opens, click the Add button. Select the resize filter from the list and click OK. In the New Width and New Height text boxes, enter the desired width and height for the video image in pixels.
Step 6
To save (start encoding) the file, click the File top menu and select the Save as Avi item. Enter a name for the file and click the "Save" button.
