Instructions
Step 1
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Control Panel" item to perform the operation to disable the automatic update function in the Microsoft Windows operating system.

Select "Security Center" and expand the link "Windows Update".

Select the "Configure Settings" node in the left pane of the Update Center dialog box that opens and use the "Do not check for updates (not recommended)" item in the drop-down list of the "Important updates" section

Click OK to confirm the application of the selected changes and return to the main Start menu to perform the operation to disable the wuauclt.exe service, which is responsible for the frequency of checking for system updates.

Expand the Control Panel link and go to Performance and Maintenance.
