Step 1
It is necessary to start recovering deleted files as soon as possible. If you deleted files from a non-system partition of the hard drive, immediately close all programs installed on this partition. Try not to do anything with the files on that local drive.
Step 2
Download Easy Recovery. Install this utility on any other partition on your hard drive. Run the program and open the Recovery Files menu.
Step 3
After opening a new menu, select the Deleted Recovery item. This is necessary in order for the program to search for manually deleted files. Select the hard disk partition where the deleted files were located.
Step 4
Check the box next to Complete Scan. A deep scan takes longer, but it increases the likelihood of successful recovery of information.
Step 5
If you are only interested in files of a certain type, fill in the File Filter field. Specify the file extensions you want to search for. You can skip this step, but using a filter significantly reduces the time it takes to find the data you need.
Step 6
After preparing the parameters, click the Scan button. The process of finding deleted information can take from 10 minutes to several hours. Its duration depends on the size of the local disk and the selected scan options. Wait until the process is complete and a new menu opens.
Step 7
Examine the list of found files. Select the checkboxes to restore them. Click the Save button. Specify the local drive and folder where the recoverable files will be saved.
Step 8
Close the Easy Recovery utility after completing the required operations. Open the folder where the data was restored. Make sure the files are ready to use and not damaged.
