Instructions

Step 1

Download and install a program to recover deleted data. There are a lot of such programs, but most of them are made according to the Handy Recovery principle. It has a trial period, so you do not need to purchase a one-time license. You can download it at the following link

Step 2

After installing Handyrecovery or any other program that you have chosen to recover deleted data, launch it and select the disk or its partition from which the file was deleted. Click on the "Analyze disk" button and wait a while while the system performs the necessary actions to collect information about the files. If necessary, specify the file system in the parameters.

Step 3

After the data is displayed on the screen, filter the results by clicking the corresponding icon on the top panel of Handyrecovery. It is best not to specify the file names in the filter, because, as you can see for yourself on the left side of the screen, directories and files are restored with a completely different assigned name. The best way is to search by file extension, file type, size and other parameters available in your program. Search only deleted files to discard existing ones from the results. Apply a filter.

Step 4

Browse the remaining directories in the folder tree on the left. Please check the contents of each one as the titles have changed. Click on each file and view it in the special window at the bottom right of the screen. There you can also play it if it is an audio or video file.

Step 5

Read about the possibility of its recovery. Right-click on it and select the "Restore" menu item. After that, wait for a while, and then open the Recovered Files folder on your local drive.
