Nobody is immune from typos. In order not to worry about the correct spelling of words in a document or in a message on the site, use the capabilities of a browser and a text editor. It is not difficult to install a spell checker, but the benefits of enabling this function cannot be overestimated.
Instructions
Step 1
To set up spell checking in Mozilla Firefox, start the browser in the way you are used to. Select Tools from the top menu bar. In the drop-down menu, click on the "Settings" item with the left mouse button. A dialog box will open.
Step 2
Go to the Advanced tab and select the General tab. In the "Browse Sites" section, check the "Check Spelling When Typing" box. Click OK to apply the new settings and close the window.
Step 3
To check the spelling in a Word document, click in the upper left corner of the text editor on the Office icon called "Office Button." At the very bottom of the drop-down menu, select "Word Options" by clicking on it with the left mouse button. Go to the "Spelling" section by highlighting it.
Step 4
Configure spelling rules in the window by placing a marker in the required fields. To automatically check spelling and punctuation for all documents created in the editor from now on, select the All New Documents item in the Exceptions for section. Uncheck the box next to "Hide spelling errors in this document" and from the box "Hide grammatical errors in this document." Click OK for the new settings to take effect.
Step 5
To check the spelling of the current document, press the F7 key, using the dialog box that appears with detailed explanations, make the necessary corrections to the document. Or, for the same purposes, go to the "Review" tab, in the "Spelling" section, click on the icon with a "checkmark" and the letters "ABC" titled "Spelling".
Step 6
If you have additional dictionaries or utilities installed to check spelling and grammar in your documents, go to the Add-Ins tab and set specific rules for using third-party utilities that are compatible with Word by using the corresponding icons in the Custom Toolbars section.
