For the first time, the function of automatic spell checking appeared in text editors, and then it began to be integrated by manufacturers into other programs, including web browsers. In browsers, it is, perhaps, even more necessary than in editor programs, since here texts have to be typed and sent in the process of online communication, i.e. fast enough, which cannot but affect their quality. The help of the application in this case is very useful.
Necessary
Opera browser and Internet access
Instructions
Step 1
All actions required to enable the spell check function in modern versions of Opera are carried out using the built-in browser controls. There is no need, as it was before, to search for something on the network, download, find out the location of the folder in which the downloaded should be placed, etc. Therefore, start your browser and go to any page that has a text input window - for example, to the main page of any search engine. Click on the field for typing a search query with the right mouse button and check the presence of a checkmark opposite the item "Check spelling" in the context menu. If not, put it on.
Step 2
If the required line is checked, but the spelling check is still not performed, open the same context menu and go to the "Dictionaries" section. It contains a list of languages for which the browser has check dictionaries - select the "Russian" line.
Step 3
The language you want may not appear on the list. In this case, start the Opera Test Dictionaries Download Wizard - select the "Add / Remove Dictionaries" item.
Step 4
In the list of dictionaries available on the manufacturer's server, provided by the wizard, check the boxes next to the ones you need - except for Russian, you can choose any others. At the same time, keep in mind that loading each dictionary takes a certain amount of time, and also lengthens the list of questions asked by the wizard - you will have to check the boxes for agreeing to the terms of use of each dictionary separately. Therefore, excessive thriftiness can significantly delay the process and take away a fair share of Internet traffic.
Step 5
Click the "Next" button, and when the wizard starts displaying the texts of the license agreements, put a check mark on the consent to them if the described conditions suit you. At the end of the work, the wizard will offer to select the default spellchecking language from the expanded list - click on the "Russian" line, and then click on the "Finish" button.
