Each web designer, designing the pages of the site, creating a logo or collage, necessarily decides in what color scheme to decorate his work. Choosing colors is very important if you don't want visitors to leave your page after 2 minutes, deciding that healthy eyes are more important than any information you are willing to share.

Instructions

Step 1

Suppose you find a photograph or drawing that combines colors and tints well, and you want to use a successful experience, but you can't find the right color tone. Start the graphics editor Adobe Photoshop and open the selected image in it.

Step 2

Select Window from the main menu and check the Info option. An information window will appear on the screen, in which the Info tab displays the numerical color code of any area over which you hold the cursor. The tab consists of 4 parts. In the upper left, colors are displayed in RGB (display model) format, in the upper right - in CMYK format (printing model - determines the color gamut for printing). In the digital code of the RGB model, the first pair of numbers defines the shades of red (Red), the second pair - shades of green (Green), the third - blue (Blue). Write down the numeric values for R, G, and B.

Step 3

On the toolbar, double-click the color picker icon. In the dialog box that appears, enter values for R, G, B and click OK to confirm. The foreground color will be the hue you selected in the image.

Step 4

Pay attention to the color picker dialog box. If you see a triangle with an exclamation mark to the left of the OK and Cancel buttons, this means that the selected color cannot be reflected by means of printing. A small cube means that the current color does not match the standard Web palette. The small box below it suggests the closest color from the standard Web palette.

Step 5

There is another way to determine the color number. In the main menu, select Image, then Mode. In the dropdown list, check RGB Color. On the toolbar, select the Eyedropper Tool ("Eyedropper"). On the property bar, in the Sample Size window, you can define where the eyedropper will take the color from: from a single point (Point) or an average color from the 3x3, 5x5, etc. pixels. After you take a color swatch, it will become the foreground color in the toolbox. You can also select the Eyedropper tool by pressing the I key.
