Each computer has a unique IP-address, knowing which, you can find out other information about the computer user: his place of residence, provider, etc. There are special Internet resources to find out.
Instructions
Step 1
Check the IP address of the user you want using the TCP application layer network protocol. It is enough to enter the phrase who is into the search box of one of the Internet search engines, and you will see various resources used to calculate the owner of the IP, for example, whois-service.ru, wwhois.ru, whois.net, ripn.net, nic.ru, whois.com, etc.
Step 2
Whois is the name of the application layer network protocol that is used precisely to obtain registration data about the owners of domains and IP addresses. Go to the IP check section on the site of your choice and enter the IP address you want to check in the query line. Next, the service will display various data, the amount of which will depend on its functionality. Usually, a whois check allows you to calculate the country, region and city in which the computer with the corresponding address is located. Some resources even display the exact coordinates of the location, the configuration of the computer and its name. You can also find out which provider the person uses.
Step 3
If you managed to find out only the name of the provider whose services are used by the owner of the checked IP-address, this may be enough to determine its exact location using additional steps. There are currently several hundred providers operating in the country, which differ depending on the cities, so by entering the full name of the company in a search engine, most likely you will find out what you need.
Step 4
Remember that the person you are checking may have used an anonymizer - a program or website to hide information about a computer or ISP. In this case, your searches may be unsuccessful, or you will find specially altered and false information.
