In the Windows operating system, the user can not only at any time receive information about what hardware is used on the computer, but also find out which version of the driver is installed for it. There are several ways to get information about a video card and its driver.

Step 1
Use the System component. To open it, click on the "Start" button or the Windows key, select "Control Panel" from the menu, open the "Performance and Maintenance" category and click on the "System" icon with the left mouse button.

Alternatively, right-click on the My Computer icon on your desktop or in the Start menu. Select "Properties" from the drop-down menu. A new dialog box will open. Go to the "Hardware" tab and click on the "Device Manager" button in the group of the same name.

There is also a faster way to open the "Device Manager" bypassing the call to the "System" component. To do this, when you click on the "My Computer" icon with the right mouse button, select "Device Manager" instead of the "Properties" item.

In the "Dispatcher" window, find and expand the "Display adapters" branch. Double-click the left mouse button on the line with the name of your video card, its properties window will open. Go to the "Driver" tab in it. The information you need is contained in the "Driver version" line.
Step 5
You can also find out the version of the video card driver using the "DirectX Diagnostic Tool". Call the "Run" command from the "Start" menu. In the empty field, enter dxdiag without extra printable characters and press the Enter key or the OK button.
Step 6
The "Diagnostic Tool" starts. Wait for data collection to complete and click the Display tab. The driver version information is located in the Drivers group. After viewing the necessary data, click on the "Exit" button in the lower right corner of the window.
Step 7
Alternatively, open your video card's control panel and look for "System Information" or something similar in meaning. The Components section should also contain driver version information.
