It is necessary

  • computer or laptop;
  • user's manual;
  • the Internet.

Instructions

Step 1

Bluetooth technology on a computer is connected using a special adapter, which can be either built-in or installed later. As a rule, built-in Bluetooth adapters are installed not on computers, but on laptops. Therefore, if you need to find out if there is Bluetooth on your computer, then in 90% of cases you will not find it.

Step 2

First of all, to find out if there is a built-in adapter in your computer or laptop, look at its case or bottom and find the corresponding sticker with the image of Bluetooth wireless technology (the picture shows an approximate image of this marking). It is the sticker that provides for the presence of an adapter in a computer or laptop model, while the Bluetooth power buttons or indicators do not yet indicate its presence, since some models are made with the same cases, but different devices.

Step 3

Find the manual that came with your computer or laptop and see if it came with it. If for some reason you did not find a sticker or manual, check the specifications of your laptop or computer on the manufacturer's website. To do this, you need to know its exact name, indicated on the case.

Step 4

Another option is to find a Bluetooth device in Device Manager, since the absence of a sticker is not yet an indicator that the device is not there - it could have been connected later. To do this, go to My Computer, right-click, select Properties from the list and click Device Manager, where there is information about all devices connected to the computer. Look for Bluetooth in the folder “Network controllers. Or click the Start menu, select Control Panel - Device Manager.

Step 5

If you don't have a Bluetooth adapter in your computer, you can buy USB adapters that quickly and easily connect to your laptop or computer via the USB port.
