Instructions

Step 1

Most wireless adapters on mobile computers do not support Soft + AP (Create Wireless Access Point) function. Despite this fact, two laptops can still be connected to a local network and even provide both devices with Internet access. Turn on the first laptop. Connect the internet connection cable to its network card.

Step 2

Set up this connection, taking into account the recommendations and requirements of your provider. Check that this connection is working properly.

Step 3

Now set up the network between the laptops. Open the Network and Sharing Center. Select the "Manage Wireless Adapters" menu and open it. On the main toolbar, find the Add button and click it.

Step 4

Select Create Computer-to-Computer Network. In the next window, just click the "Next" button. Set the name (SSID) of your wireless network. Select the type of security from the existing options. Enter the key required to gain access to your network. Better to use a relatively complex password.

Step 5

Check the box next to "Save this network settings". Click "Next". A window will appear informing you that the network you created is ready to use.

Step 6

Leave the first laptop for a while. Turn on the second device. Turn on the search for available wireless networks. Select your network and click the "Connect" button. In the window that appears, enter the required key.

Step 7

Open the wireless adapter settings of the second laptop. Select TCP / IPv4 properties. Set the following parameters for this menu:

- 135.135.135.2 - IP-address

- System selectable subnet mask

- 135.135.135.1 - The main gateway

- 135.135.135.1 - DNS servers.

Step 8

Go back to the first computer. Open the item specified in the previous step. Fill in only one field - IP-address, entering the numbers 135.135.135.1 into it.

Step 9

Open the properties of your Internet connection and select the "Access" tab. Include the item responsible for providing Internet sharing. Enter your wireless network. Save the settings.
