Any user can independently flip the screen on a laptop or computer. To change the position of the screen, you can choose one of several options.
The methods for rotating the screen are as follows:
- pressing hot keys;
- through the control panel;
- by controlling the drivers.
Screen rotation on a laptop with an Intel chipset
Please note that the hotkeys for rotating the screen may differ from laptop to laptop. For a device with an Intel chipset, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:
1. Ctrl + Alt + Left Arrow, when pressed, will rotate the screen to the left by 90 degrees.
2. Ctrl + Alt + Right Arrow will move the top of the screen 90 degrees to the right.
3. Ctrl + Alt + Downward Arrow will turn the usual screen layout "upside down".
4. Ctrl + Alt + Up Arrow will help to return everyone to their usual desktop position.
These combinations can be ineffective if your device is Nvidia or AMD. Also, this method is not always suitable in the presence of "native" drivers. You can change the preset combination of buttons - to do this, open the driver control panel and select "Options". Place the mouse cursor on the desktop and press the right key. Going to "Graphics Options" and choosing "Keyboard shortcuts" will allow you to change the existing settings - just tick the box.
Screen rotation when using Nvidia driver
For video cards with the Nvidia chipset, if you need to rotate the screen, you can use the driver control panel. Enter the panel, find "Display Rotation", go to the orientation selection line, confirm the selection. The position of the screen can be portrait, landscape, folded.
It is also possible to rotate the screen using the Windows control panel. As a rule, this method is used if it was not possible to use the first two. For example, in Windows 8, to rotate the screen, you need to enter the control panel, then sequentially select Screen - Configure settings - Orientation. Select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu and confirm it.
