The input language currently installed in the computer is displayed on the icon in the lower right corner of the screen or on a separate bar - "Language bar" - anywhere on the desktop. If this useful interface element suddenly disappears, you should check its display settings in Windows installations or the application that is responsible for displaying it.

It is necessary

Windows OS, Punto Swicher software

Instructions

Step 1

If the lost language icon was previously placed on top of all windows in a small separate panel on the desktop, but now it is gone, most likely the OS component named "Language bar" has disabled. To return it to work, use the Windows "Control Panel" - open the main menu, select the "Control Panel" item and in the "Clock, language and region" section of the list of tasks that opens, click on the "Change interface language" link.

Step 2

When the window with the heading "Regional and Language Standards" appears on the screen, press the "And" key or click the mouse on the "Change keyboard" button. The following window will open - "Languages and text input services".

Step 3

Go to the "Language bar" tab and press the "P" key or put a check mark in the "Placed anywhere on the desktop" box. If you use the "A" key or check the box "Docked in the taskbar", the icon will appear in the lower right corner of the screen, but you will not be able to move it around the desktop.

Step 4

Click OK, repeat this step in the next window, close the "Control Panel" and the procedure will be completed.

Step 5

If the Punto Switcher was responsible for displaying the language icon on the taskbar in your operating system, you need to replace this icon by changing the application settings. Open the program window - it is completely devoted to the application settings, divided into eight sections.

Step 6

The installation you want is placed on the first tab that Punto opens by default. Check the box "Show system tray icon" - this is the third line from the top in the list of settings. Here you can also set additional parameters for displaying the language icon; for this, the checkboxes of the fields "Make the icon in the form of country flags" and "Change the color of the icon in case of typos" are intended. After selecting all the necessary checkboxes, click the OK button.
