Starting an audio service in safe mode of operation means forcing the registration of drivers and services in the registry branch responsible for the operation of safe mode. It should be remembered that incorrectly changing the registry keys may lead to the need for a complete reinstallation of Windows.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button, and go to the "Run" dialog. Type regedit in the "Open" line and confirm the launch of the Registry Editor utility by clicking OK. Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESystemCurrentControlSetControlSafeBootMin branch and familiarize yourself with the directory of services and drivers that run in safe mode on the computer.
Step 2
Call the context menu of the Min parameter by right-clicking and specifying the New Key command. Repeat this procedure three times to obtain four new subkeys.
Step 3
After that, call the context menu of the first of the created subkeys by right-clicking and selecting the "Rename" item. Type MMCSS in the "Name" line and expand the "Default" option on the right side of the window by double-clicking. Type Service in the line "Data value" and confirm the saving of the changes made by clicking the OK button.
Step 4
Call the context menu of the second created subkey by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Rename" item. Type AudioEndPointBuilder in the "Name" line and expand the "Default" option by double-clicking. Type Service in the "Data Value" line and confirm the selected action by clicking OK.
Step 5
Repeat the same procedure for the third subkey you created earlier and enter AudioSRV in the Name field. After that, also type Service in the "Data Value" line and apply the changes made by clicking OK.
Step 6
Exit the Registry Editor utility and reboot the system to apply the changes.
