You can add the desired text to the picture in different ways. It all depends on what software is installed on your computer and what result you are achieving. For work, both a graphical and a text editor may be suitable.

Step 1
Launch a graphics application, such as Adobe Photoshop, and open the file with the image you want to add a caption to. Click the "Text" button (with the letter "T") on the toolbar. If you are accustomed to using the keyboard, the hotkey for this tool is also the Latin letter [T].
Step 2
A new layer will be automatically created. Place the cursor in the place from which the text input will begin by clicking in the workspace with the left mouse button. Enter the inscription you need in the usual way. If you want to paste a piece of text copied from another document, press the key combination Ctrl and [V].

Adjust the size, color and style of the font using the appropriate tools. After finishing formatting, right-click on the layer and select the Rasterize Type command from the context menu. Merge the layers.
Step 4
If you have a different graphics editor installed, it is better that it supports working with layers. Enter your text on a new layer - this will expand the possibilities for editing the inscription, and in case of failure, the damaged layer can always be removed without damaging the main image.

To add text to a picture in a text editor, insert the picture into your document and place it in the background. So, in the Microsoft Office Word application, right-click on the image and select the "Object Format" item in the context menu. A new dialog box will open. Go to the tab "Position" and click on the thumbnail "Behind the text".
Step 6
Apply the new settings by clicking on the OK button, the window will automatically close. Select the graphic and place it in the appropriate part of the document. Place your cursor where you want to on the page and enter your text. The caption will be above the image.
