Making music videos is quite a fun activity that requires skills in working with video and sound editing programs. In order to try your hand at working with music video, Movie Maker is suitable.
It is necessary
- - Movie Maker program;
- - video files;
- - files with images;
- - a file with music.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have a desire to edit a music video, make a plan for editing. Indicate in it the duration and content of individual episodes of the future video.
Step 2
Prepare the source materials for the clip. If possible, select several options for images or videos for each of the episodes, this will allow you to choose the best option for editing. Collect all the files that will make up your clip into one folder.
Step 3
Import your footage into Movie Maker using the Import Video, Import Images, and Import Sound or Music options. By default, Movie Maker splits imported clips into separate clips. To avoid this, when importing video, uncheck the "Create clips for video files" checkbox. As a result, the number of clips in the program window will correspond to the number of loaded files.
Step 4
Adjust the aspect ratio of the video you are creating. To do this, use the "Options" command from the "Service" menu. In the settings window, click on the "Additional parameters" tab and set the desired frame resolution in this tab. In the same window, you can set the duration of the transition and images. The "Image duration" parameter determines the time during which a still image added from a graphic file will remain on the screen. By default, this time is 5 seconds, which is more suitable for a slideshow than a music video.
Step 5
Switch to storyboard mode using the Storyboard command from the View menu. Drag the files loaded into the project onto the storyboard in the order in which they appear in the artboard. To add a file to the storyboard, select the file in the program window and press the key combination Ctrl + D.
Step 6
Switch to the timeline display mode using the "Timeline" command from the "View" menu and drag the music file onto the timeline. View the result by clicking on the "Play" button, which can be seen under the player window.
Step 7
Trim excess parts of your video files if necessary. To do this, place the cursor in front of the beginning of the fragment to be deleted and press the key combination Ctrl + L. Select the unnecessary fragment by clicking on it with the mouse and press the Delete key.
Step 8
Add effects and transitions to your clip. The window with effect presets in Movie Maker is opened by the "Video Effects" command from the "Tools" menu. The window with transitions can be opened using the "Video Transitions" command from the same menu. To apply an effect or transition, drag its icon onto one of the timeline clips.
Step 9
Use the Save to Computer option to save your music clip. Specify the location on the disk where your video will be saved, enter the file name and select one of the presets to save the created clip to your computer. Wait for the end of the file writing process.
